The company maintains a wide range of commercial and military high speed craft databases and is the technical editing body for Jane’s High Speed Marine Transportation, an industry reference source. This breadth of market knowledge combined with the depth of technical experience available within the company, has provided the basis for a wide range of market assessments undertaken for government agencies and private organisations when setting-up new, or expanding existing, fast ferry and related services.
The company also tracks new-build and sale/purchase transactions industry-wide and this data provides for the valuation of new and second hand vessels. Such vessel surveys and valuations are regularly undertaken around the world – some examples of which are given in the adjacent table.
This combination of market and technical knowledge also provides for expert witness assignments and Mr Phillips, the company managing director, has assisted in a number of high profile arbitration and court cases associated with fast ferries.
